Our Canada team participated in a fundraising event, where the members had the opportunity to meet with prominent lawyers and new non-profit organizations. The team formed collaborative partnerships for humanitarian work and to provide pro bono legal services.

The event, held on June 26, brought together philanthropists, legal professionals, and community leaders in a shared mission to make a positive impact on society. Our team was invited to the event alongside Brampton Councilor Gurpartap Singh Toor. Our team engaged in productive discussions with lawyers from various prestigious firms and representatives of Asees Foundation and other non-profit organizations.

During the event, our team expressed commitment to leveraging our expertise and resources to address legal issues faced by vulnerable and underserved communities. Recognizing the power of collaboration, the teams explored opportunities to work with legal experts and new non-profit organizations to deliver impactful and much-needed pro bono legal services to those in need.

Our team explored the possibilities of collaboration to provide pro bono legal services to individuals and communities that lack access to legal representation and face financial constraints. The members held discussions with legal firms including Pace Law with the aim of forging a strong partnership to empower and uplift those who would otherwise struggle to navigate the complexities of the legal system.

Gurbir Singh, UNITED SIKHS Canada Director of Operations expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We had fruitful discussions with esteemed lawyers and non-profit organizations including Asees Foundation. Through potential collaborations we are aiming to extend our reach and provide much-needed pro bono legal services to those who need it the most. We are committed to ensure social justice and equal access to justice for all.”
