In the aftermath of the devastating floods in Panjab, our humanitarian relief efforts have entered a new phase focused on rebuilding the lives of those affected. The situation is dire, with many families facing immense challenges as they attempt to recover from the destruction.

As a heartbreaking glimpse of the condition of hundreds of families, the humble dwelling of this family couldn’t survive floodwaters

Our primary task is to provide continued support to these families, helping them regain stability and rebuild their livelihoods. This involves mobilizing resources, expanding our reach to more affected areas, and encouraging widespread community involvement.

On a broader scale, our teams are tirelessly working on multiple fronts:

• Pumping out floodwater: We have provided essential resources like 200 liters of diesel to farmers in the Sardulgarh area, helping them remove water from their fields.
• Medical aid: Our teams have delivered medicines and other supplies to remote locations like Ahli Kalan village in Sultanpur Lodhi, where aid was scarce.
• Daily essentials: In Mansa, we have distributed rations, water, and other necessities to families still grappling with the flood’s aftermath. We are also conducting fogging operations to prevent mosquito-borne diseases.

Our efforts have reached over 520 flood-affected locations across 11 districts, providing medical aid to more than 120,000 individuals and essential supplies to over 40,000 people. As we transition into the second phase of our relief operations, we are expanding our reach to additional districts, including Sangrur and Kapurthala.

Thanks to the collective efforts of our volunteers and the generosity of the community, we have made a significant impact in alleviating the suffering of those affected by the floods. However, the work is far from over. As we continue to assist families in areas where floodwaters persist, we are also preparing for the next phase—focused on livelihood restoration and self-employment opportunities through our ‘Project Kirti.’ The commitment to rebuilding Panjab’s future remains strong, and we call on more individuals, organizations, and institutions to join us in this vital mission.
