UNITED SIKHS Deploys Fogging Operations Across Flood-Affected Panjab to Prevent Disease Outbreaks
Gurdaspur, Panjab | September 13, 2025
In response to the devastating floods that have swept across Panjab, UNITED SIKHS has mobilized its Jammu-based relief team to carry out critical fogging operations in flood-affected villages and institutions. Carrying in their hearts the pain and resilience of communities across Panjab, the team is acting swiftly to reduce the risk of mosquito and fly-borne illnesses, prioritizing both public health and the dignity of those impacted.

Using specialized fogging machines, the team is disinfecting key public areas to prevent the spread of vector-borne diseases in the aftermath of the floods. This initiative is part of UNITED SIKHS’ broader humanitarian response, which centers both immediate relief and long-term recovery for displaced and vulnerable populations.

Fogging operations have been conducted in the following villages so far:
- Village Adian
- Village Thatharke
- Village Kalanor
- Dera Baba Nanak Gurdwara Sahib
- Village Deriwal Kiran
- Government Primary Smart School, Deriwal Kiran, Block Kalanor
- Village Khasawali
- Village Palle Nangal
- Village Vairoka
- Village Qadian
- Government High School, Khushipur, District Gurdaspur
- Village Machhiwal
- Village Sujada Kala
Shaheed Major Bhagat Singh Government Senior Secondary School, Kala Nangal, Gurdaspur

At UNITED SIKHS, we believe that disaster response must go beyond immediate relief – it must honor the resilience of affected communities and uphold their right to health and dignity. Through these fogging operations, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting families in Panjab from preventable disease and standing in solidarity with those navigating loss, displacement, and recovery. Every village reached is a testament to our shared responsibility and unwavering compassion.

UNITED SIKHS continues to assess needs across flood-affected regions and is coordinating with local authorities, schools, and faith institutions to expand its humanitarian outreach. The organization urges supporters and donors to stay engaged as recovery efforts evolve.
