UNITED SIKHS, recognizing the scale of this disaster, swiftly mobilized to provide emergency relief to the worst-hit areas. The challenge was not only to deliver supplies but also to overcome damaged infrastructure and inaccessible areas where help was most needed. There was an immediate need to provide food, clean water, medical care, and basic necessities to impacted families, along with preventing the spread of diseases caused by stagnant water and carcasses.
UNITED SIKHS’ Pakistan team quickly deployed teams to flood-affected areas like Charsadda in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Our teams distributed essential supplies, including cooked rice, bread, biscuits, mineral water, clothes, and infant milk. Simultaneously, medical camps were set up to address the growing health crisis caused by the floods. Efforts are ongoing to reach remote areas, with plans to extend aid to Punjab, Balochistan, and Sindh. The organization is also working closely with local authorities to support long-term rehabilitation.
Through these swift efforts, UNITED SIKHS is providing critical relief to thousands of flood-affected families. Despite damaged infrastructure, including over 3,000 km of roads and 145 bridges, our teams are pushing through to assist areas cut off by the disaster. Beyond emergency relief, the organization is preparing to assist in rehabilitation efforts, offering hope and long-term recovery to the affected people.
