UNITED SIKHS Canada team carried out an outreach initiative in Allan Gardens Park, extending a hand of help to individuals in need. Our team reached out to serve food to individuals and families in over a hundred encampments. The homeless families in the park need empathy and support. Our motivated team of volunteers reached out to individuals to bring smiles on their faces.
Generous contribution from our kind-hearted supporter, The Bagel House also enabled us to provide over 70 pounds of nourishing bagels, more than 150 bags of chips, 200 juice boxes, and 250 water bottles to the people in need.
Speaking about the initiative, Gurbir Singh, UNITED SIKHS Canada Director of Operations said, “Marginalized and underprivileged sections within our society need everybody’s compassion and help. Everyone must keep making efforts to pull them out of squalor and misery. Through selfless seva (service of humanity), we can pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future for all,” said Gurbir Singh, Director of Operations at UNITED SIKHS Canada. ” Our heartfelt appreciation extends to everyone involved, from our exceptional team of volunteers to the thoughtful donors like The Bagel House,” he added.
UNITED SIKHS Canada remains committed to the betterment of marginalized and underprivileged sections of society, advocating for compassion and unity to bring about transformative change.
