UNITED SIKHS AID Panjab Flood Relief

Panjab is hit by worst flood with Sutlej waters breached the embankments of the river by 150 feet. Report says over 66,000 acres of fertile land with crops under flood water. Livestock washed away. Hundreds of villagers were still waiting for help. Many survivors are in temporary make-shift camp on the road side.

Survivors need immediate assistance and food supply. Cattles are dying without food.

UNITED SIKHS Sikh Aid team headed by Bhai Amrik Singh and Harinder Singh from Nizamdinpur and Talwandi surveyed flood affected areas in the districts of Ferozpur, Jalandhar and Kapurthala. Food material, Livestock feed and emergency supply are relief materials are underway. Sikh Aid will continue to assess the situation and provide material and medical supplies as needed.
