“I dedicate the Golden Hearts award which was presented to me by the Malaysian Transport Minister Dato Seri Liow Tiong Lai, to my full team in UNITED SIKHS and the Malaysia Food Bank, my family and friends especially to the donors, for without them we can do nothing. I pray we get to reach more people so we can serve more. A little bit helps a lot. Waheguru tera shukar hai (thank you Lord Almighty) for allowing me to do what I love,” Rishiwant Singh added. |

Out of 100 people nominated for the prestigious award, only 10 were presented with a Golden Hearts. Other award recipients included a girl who donated a liver to her teacher, and two fishermen who saved eight Air Force personnel from a plane that crashed into the sea. |
