UNITED SIKHS Honors the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib
A Legacy of Courage, Conscience, and Sacrifice for Humanity
New York City, N.Y | November 24, 2025
UNITED SIKHS joins the global Sikh sangat in solemn remembrance and deep reverence on the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur, the Ninth Guru of the Sikhs. His fearless stand for religious freedom, human dignity, and justice remains a beacon of moral clarity in times of oppression and division.

Guru Tegh Bahadur’s martyrdom in 1675 was a profound act of spiritual resistance defending the right of all people to practice their faith without fear. His sacrifice for the Kashmiri Pandits and all communities facing persecution, was a living example for the Sikhs on how to live ideals of their faith. In laying down his life, he upheld the universal principle that no soul should be coerced in matters of conscience.
In remembering Guru Tegh Bahadur, we encourage our youth leaders, coalition partners, and interfaith allies to carry forward his vision of building a future grounded in courage, compassion, and the defense of human rights. His martyrdom was not only a defense of religious freedom but a profound affirmation of human dignity and conscience. Let us honor his sacrifice by recommitting ourselves to the principles he upheld: justice without compromise, service without boundaries, and faith without fear.
“We bow with deep respect on the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur, the Ninth Guru. His courage, sacrifice, and unwavering stand for justice and human rights continue to inspire us,” said UNITED SIKHS Director Angad Pal Singh.
Let this anniversary not only be a time for remembrance, but a call to action to the believers in freedom of conscience worldwide.
