According to Louisiana Governor, John Bel Edwards, at least 40,000 homes have suffered some damage and it is not clear how many homes are uninhabitable. UNITED SIKHS asks everyone to answer this clarion call for assistance so our neighbors may begin to experience some semblance of normalcy. Gurvinder Singh, Director Sikh Aid, said , “Not every region is equally serviced, we have seen this in Katrina and a big response is needed. All available resources are needed on deck”.
