The primary goal for UNITED SIKHS was to provide immediate relief in the form of essential supplies and medical aid. The focus was on addressing health concerns, particularly the rise of waterborne diseases, and ensuring the provision of food and fodder for the affected communities and their livestock.
UNITED SIKHS volunteers reached the most affected regions, including Rupnagar, Patiala, Shahkot, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, and Mansa districts. They waded through chest-deep waters to distribute vital medicines, essential supplies, and cattle fodder. Volunteers coordinated closely with local authorities to identify the most impacted families, ensuring aid reached those who needed it the most. They also prepared to assist with potential future floods in areas threatened by the release of water from nearby rivers.
