So far 46,793 people in Chandigarh have been affected by coronavirus and sadly, there have been 532 deaths. 8,363 patients are still in hospital and recovering.
UNITED SIKHS is grateful to the Chandigarh Housing Board for allowing us to set up and operate a Mini COVID Care Centre at Sports Complex, Sector 43, Chandigarh. Our Volunteers are aiming to start up the centre in the 2nd week of May.
“The Chandigarh Administration greatly appreciates your noble gesture of coming forward contributing towards the management of this pandemic situation. The partnership of good Samaritans from civil society like yourself with the Administration is the need of the hour,” said Yashpal Garg, CEO Chandigarh Housing Board.
UNITED SIKHS is arranging a 50-bed facility, with a capacity of expanding to 250, depending on future requirements. Despite a severe shortage of oxygen, we pray and will attempt to source Oxygen cylinders or Oxygen concentrators.
We will also be providing clean drinking water and simple food. Apart from the food supplies, our team will be providing  PPE Kits, Gloves, Mask & sanitizer and first-aid kits.
We need your constant support.
