Write To Your Member of Congress Ask Them Raise Thier Voice and Support Indian Farmers
December 08, 2020 New York Anti-Farm laws were rushed through government without input from farmers. These laws will lead millions of farmers and their families to starvation. Tens of thousands of farmers from all across India have gathered on the streets to protest unfair treatment. Our voices in support of India’s farmers would lend support for the principle that in the US and around the world local farmers are indispensable to the social fabric of any country and must be supported and the deregulation of the providers of world food supplies harms us all. Now is the Call to Action, Write to your Elected representatives to show your support to the Farmers protesting In India. It will take less than 30 seconds for you to send the letter to the Lawmakers. UNITED SIKHS has drafted the letter for their supporters, you just need to send it your member of U.S. Congress.
Dear Congressmember I am a constituent and write to urge you to support farmers in India. The recently passed Anti-Farm laws in India will lead millions of farmers to starvation. Tens of thousands of farmers from all across India – states of Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and many more have gathered on the streets to protest unfair treatment. Our voices in support of India’s farmers would lend support for the principle that in the US and around the world local farmers are indispensable to the social fabric of any country and must be supported and the deregulation of the providers of world food supplies harms us all. I request that you also introduce a resolution in Congress that will lend support for the struggle of farmers in India and world wide. This escalating humanitarian crisis, the current cold weather and Covid-19 Pandemic are making the situation worse for the protesting farmers. I hope to hear your response on this matter.
